Exciting news and a wonderful opportunity!!!
Kathryn Richardson, one of the Oklahoma State Ambassadors, made a connection at the Oklahoma Hall of Fame which after much communication and planning, we will be hosting our Fall Portrait Academy at the Oklahoma Hall of Fame in the Gaylord-Pickens Museum in Oklahoma City, OK on October 4-5, 2019.
Faculty Rose Frantzen and Jeff Hein will present a portrait painting demonstration on Friday night and teach drawing workshops all day on Saturday. Portrait Academy attendees will select to participate in either Rose’s or Jeff’s drawing workshop, like the drawing workshops at the conference. The cost for the Portrait Academy is $189 for both days, or $35 for Friday’s demonstration only.
In conjunction with the Portrait Academy, we will be hosting “The Art of the Portrait Tri-State Exhibition,” also at the Gaylord-Pickens Museum. This juried exhibition is open only to artists living in the states of Oklahoma, Texas, and New Mexico, and they do not have to be a member of the Portrait Society of America to enter.
